Here we go once again with the weekly Top 15 circles on Google Plus. This week I bring you the, “Influencers Love Coffee Edition”. Now we know we all love a good cup of brew to keep us focused and in the zone. I know for Ana and I we love our coffee.
In 2013 the buzzword was influencer. Who were the influencers in your niche? How do you engage with the influencers? How do you get influencers to be ambassadors on your behalf?
How does all this tie into my love for coffee?
A few weeks ago I mentioned my love for coffee on Twitter. That afternoon a gentleman named Danny from London, England responded to me asking if I would like to sample some of his company, “Climpson & Sons”, specialty coffee. Of course as a coffee lover I said, “yes!”
I Could Not Believe My Eyes!
Fast forward a few weeks and I get a call from my Mother in Rochester, NY. She says to me, “what would you like me to do with all of this coffee?”. She shows me the box and tells me there is 9 bags of different specialty coffees from all over the world in the box. I have to admit that I did not think Danny was going to send me that much coffee. I can`t wait to dive into the Ethiopia Arabica beans. It has been at least three years since I had a nice Ethiopian coffee.
Moral of the Story.
Influencers love #Coffee! This just shows that a smart business can leverage the reach of influncers online to help promote their brand. You may say, “but that is a large amount of coffee and the shipping must have been expensive”. Climpson & Sons has gained a raving fan and a bunch of publicity within my network. This my friends is smart marketing!
So if you are a small business owner, get to know influencers within your niche, or in the case of Climpson & Sons just find an influencer that loves what you sell. Next step is communicate with them and see if they would love to know more about your product or service. The secret is that everyone loves free stuff, especially if it is something we are passionate about. As you can see I am happy to show my love for Climpson & Sons and the specialty roasted coffee they produce. Thank you Danny!
